The villa, located in south east Sicily in Marina di Modica, is an 80's construction using salt resistant materials such as white travertine. All of the rooms along the front of the villa open onto a large travertine paved veranda where stylish outdoor furniture provides a perfect setting to enjoy ambient temperatures from spring to late autumn. Lush gardens and lawn surround the veranda and it is hard to imagine that in 2 minutes one could be on the beach or enjoying a cafe in one of the beachside cafes.

This beautiful cottage with private swimming pool is set on the north west coast of Sicily, not far from Castellammare del Golfo. Situated along the small road leading from the lovely beach of Guidaloca bay to the ancient village of Scopello, the villa is in an area of great natural interest. Scopello borders on the famous Zingaro natural reserve – wonderful for walking, riding and exploring by boat. At the other end of the park are the San Vito lo Capo beach – surely the prettiest in Sicily, if not all Italy. Villa lies about half way down a long sandy beach running for about 6km between the small village of Porto Palo di Melfi and the historical site of Selinunte on Sicily’s south coast. This area has recently been announced as a nature reserve and therefore the few seafront properties along this stretch, surrounded by vineyards and fields ensures that the beach is almost deserted. The villa is set back about 300m from the beach and a track of about 300m leads down to the sand. Within the property there is a swimming pool, and a large shady veranda enjoying expansive views of the ocean. The villa is positioned 3km from Scopello in the direction of Castellamare del Golfo along a small coastal road that becomes gravel a few hundred metres short of the villa. Double steel gates and a steel pedestrian gate provide a secure entrance to the property, although the area is very private and very little traffic uses the road. The driveway leads up 100m from the entrance to the carport and paved courtyard at the rear of the villa
Villa is a modern and detached rental property set in a spacious garden comprising lawn and palm trees. To the front of the two level villa is an in-ground infinity swimming pool with furnished shaded veranda overlooking the sea. On the first floor there is a further shaded veranda with even wider views of the coastline towards Palermo. The panorama is stunning and steps from the front gate lead down the cliff to reach a beautiful secluded cove with translucent water.
The villa is comprised of the main house, split over two levels and a dependence with two bedrooms separated by a paved courtyard at the rear of the property. Adjacent to the dependence is an alcove with a wood fired pizza oven (not functional) and a triple carport. The seawater swimming pool at the front of the villa is surrounded by a paved and furnished solarium and a large shaded veranda providing a wonderful area for summer meals and access to the living rooms of the villa. Stairs lead down from the pool to a large palm garden with a paved footpath to the front entrance. Over the gravel road, a trail with concrete steps leads 5minutes down to a lovely the secluded beach cove of Cala Rossa.
